Hi all. Just to introduce myself, I am Dennis Doyle from Johannesburg South Africa. I am a friend and relative of Foxy, who has been here with me in South Africa for a few weeks and I have been interested in his short visits back to the Bedlington site while he was here. I am am an ex Geordie myself and moved to South Africa many years ago. I often visit Bedlington and Wetherspoons and the Market Club. Well Ive been looking at this site for over a year now in fact its saved in my favourites. We moved to bedlington about 3.5 years ago from New hartley and I have to say Its a move Im really pleased we made I love living here. Although Im not from the northeast originally ( kent is my home county) Been here for about 12 years now ( other half is a geordie ) so she keeps me right ha ha. Im very interested in local history and been finding out what I can about the local area though this site and others and of course the library so if you see a short bloke with his two dogs wandering about in the fields and down by the river come and say hello.

The council closed the place because they were running the place at a loss and from what I hear couldn't see past the end of their noses for better ideas for the place. Glad that the night went well and a venue in Bedlington being used for the purposes intended.
