  1. Born in Bedlington and lived in the Riggs until 1969 and left the area when I was 22. Went to Westridge and served electrical apprenticeship at the Doctor Pit. Played football for Bedlington Juniors. Sadly left the area to find work at Kellingley Colliery, Yorkshire and never came back to live, but have always taken an interest in the town. This is a great site and I am enjoying my involvement and the help. Interests - family history and researching soldiers from Bedlington who died in WW1, in particular those listed in the Record of Enlistements. Living in Scotland.

    I think Bells yard was further down, where Moods now has a shop. I have been known to be wrong, Eggy might know better, If not I'll bet he finds out!!
