Council depot burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Bedlington..

It happened at Northumberland County Council premises, East View in Choppington overnight between 6pm on Wednesday, March 1 and 6.30am on Thursday, March 2.

Offenders forced entry to the secure council compound via a rear fence. They damaged the window of a Ford Transit vehicle and stole a hydraulic breaker and leaf blower/strimmer and stihl saw before leaving unseen.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact police.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 156 of 02/03/17 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
