Police are appealing for information after a taxi driver was robbed in Northumberland.
The incident happened at 12.30am this morning, (Wednesday, January 28), in Jubilee Terrace, Bedlington.
A taxi driver in a black Ford Torneo had four male passengers, who he had collected from Pioneer Terrace, Bedlington. They drove to Jubilee Terrace where the robbery took place.
The taxi driver was threatened and assaulted before the men made off with cash.
The driver was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Two 19-year-old men along with a further two men aged 18 and 17 have been arrested and remain in police custody.
Detectives are carrying out enquiries into the incident and asking any witnesses or anyone with information to contact police.
