Sustrans Connect2 portrait bench unveiling

Join Sustrans in Gallagher Park on Saturday 10th September to meet your local heroes being immortalised in Steel.

You chose Dr John Brown, Mary Weightman, Sir Daniel Gooch and the Bedlington Terrier to be created into life-size 2-D statues which will be placed next to wooden bench along the new pedestrian/cycle path in Gallagher Park.

The event starts at 12:00noon with the unveiling ceremony at 12:30.

There will be lots of fun activities and stalls and Barnesbury Cycling Club will be leading a gentle, 30-mile, 2 hour cycle ride from Gallagher Park at 13:15. (This ride is open to all over 12 yrs and will be suitable for relative beginners. You will need to bring a bike)
