Bedlington Terriers overcame Shildon at Welfare Park on a mild evening 2-1 thanks to goals from Brian Dodsworth and Alex Lawson. The game was rearranged from a few weeks ago when the floodlights went out on 81 minutes. Since that game, the club has undertaken extensive repairs to avoid a repeat. And there were no problems on the night and the win sees Bedlington climb to 14th and more importantly go 9 points ahead of Ashington. Bedlington only need one more point from their remaining two games (funnily enough due to postponements earlier in the season due to bad weather) against South Shields.
Saturday sees the action at Welfare Park where all under 16s can get in for free (kick off 3pm) before the Terriers tie up their league campaign on Tuesday night at Filtrona Park (kick off 7.30pm).
