The North East roads where you're most likely to be fined for jumping a red light

You often won't know you've been clocked by one until it is too late.

However the locations of the region's 'red light cameras' have been revealed.

And the overwhelming majority are south of the Tyne - with just four in Newcastle.

The cameras, located on top of traffic lights, clock drivers who jump a red light.

Over 10,000 North East drivers have been fined since 2015, a Freedom of Information request to Northumbria Police has revealed.

However the number of fines has almost halved in recent years.
