There are teachers out there who teach for understanding you know. And also good schools that teach life skills (it's in the national curriculum too, PSHE.) Don't knock the schools when you haven't seen what we do. (Yes, I know there are bad teachers and bad schools too.) I think your problem is with the government, not the schools.
