  1. Site revamp in progress - fully funded by a real live commercial sponsor! :)

Five more commercial sponsors needed to keep the wheels rolling, but I guess that I'm just going to have to get on the phone.

Anyone with any ideas of which Bedlingtonshire businesses would make fitting sponsors please post or PM me? It's not a charity thing, they'll get far more bang than they pay for in supporting our Town!

any chance of some details? i know a few people...

how much, what do you get etc, if you please!

  2. Heard the Market Tavern has been done out mighty fine though! With live music at weekends and fine food too! And if the fineries in this establishment leave you feeling rough you could always join Ichiban martial arts to fitten you up... Or just leave your kids at Bedlington Bears for some rest!

    :D:D:D

or, train @ ichiban WHILE the kids are at bears, then go for a pint....

  3. Anyone got any details on the condition of the motorcycle rider involved in the incident early this morning?

    (approx 7am, 29-7-6)

A motorcycle hit a fiesta ST in the early hours, and the road was shut for a couple of hours. a male apparently called 'Keith' who lives nearby was taken to hospital with back, wrist and leg injurys. from what i know the driver and passengers of the Fiesta were shaken, but ok.

As i was one of the first on the scene, i'd really like to know if the rider is ok, as he seemed really shaken up when i was by his side.

If anyone has any info, please let me know.

  4. We've considered giving the top users free @bedlington.co.uk e-mail in addition to the free PMing as an acknowledgment of their continued support. Will get around to coding this sometime.

oh yeah? might be a good idea for the first 99 to get e-mail addresses...

and this 'active' bit, is that just for the registration? or does it release my username if i get 3 years porridge?

  5. Whilst were on the topic of pubs, may i push a vote in the way of the Wharton Arms?

Brian has a great bar running there, if your an older type that is...

oh, and rumours are, that bar and the ridge farm got a hefty fine for showing a foregn football channel?:unsure:

anyway, 3 cheers to te wharton arms!

a welcoming pint and a £20 note at the ready whenever your short of cash and in need of a sorrow-drowning afternoon! (aledgedly...)

  6. you could always give him the ultamatum....

the cars go on e-bay, and the proceeds to a cruse, or you get divorced.

my ex did the same with me and my 'art' magazines i had collected over the last 20 years. needless to say, my collection is still with me and still has no pages stuck together! (never did understand the point of sticking the good pages together...)

dunno what my point is really, but its a good way to find out if they love you enough to give it up...

  7. Sounds like he's driving you to despair. You must pit a stop to it.

I'm afraid there is no magic formula one can put into practice that will make things right. Tell him he has to stop toying with your affections if you are to get your relationship back on track.

thats all you picked up on? pit stop???

    lol

  8. Perhaps your argument will persuade others into thinking first before they blight the country with kids that they have no means of providing for?

    hear hear!

i think those people who bring kids into this world with no intention of caring or providing for them need castrated!

i'm quite happy with the £57 a week they take from me now i have a piss poor job, it means those secret savings accounts i have set up for the kids's future are doing very well.

Nothing better than a supprise few grand when you turn 18!

(hope the ex aint reading this!)

  9. Well my taxes pay for the little !*!@# and their Kappa-clad mothers as well, just I don't bleat on about it.

no, but, having said that, between all the usual moaning and bellyaching you do on this forum i'm not suprised you aint got round to bleating on about your taxes!

I may be wrong but i thought discussion forums were for discussing things, not harassing new members... ;):D:unsure:

(have a look, is he still laughing lads?)

  10. Sorry Chris, but they're your bairns so pay for them; don't expect any sympathy at having to pay for the upkeep of your own offspring.

no problem at all in paying for my own denzel, its paying for all the ones who dont pay that pisses me off.

or are you trying to say the £300 was going straight to my children?

  11. The £300 that you begrudge paying, for the upkeep of your own kids by the way, would otherwise be paid by the taxpayer.

They're not my kids, you pay for them.

thats my point CK, i am paying for them, and i'm paying for the others who dont pay!

it wouldnt be so bad if she got all the money, but instead it goes into this big pot and shared out to everyone, why should i pay for other peoples kids?

the amount should relate to the amount recieved by the parent with custody.

  12. Heres a good starter for you....

a lad i worked with has a son and a daughter, their mother is off her head on drugs 70% of the year and has rehab the other 30%

for the last 8 years he has had to give up work time and time again because she was incapable of looking after them, and childcare was not an option.

naturally he left her and took the kids with him.

7 months later at court, she was clean again and wanted them back....and got them!

3 months after that, 2 kids turn up at his door, with bags, telling him mums told them to live with him again

this goes on for years until finally the eldest son decides enough is enough and vows to help his mum out anyway he can. he lives with her now and is 15.

his daughter couldnt stand any more and moved in with her dad, and has done for the last 3 years. she's 11.

    heres the clever bit....

because the mother has custody of them both, he has to pay her child support, for BOTH children!

    but....

because he has NO custody, she pays NOTHING! and never has, and never will!

how the hell can a system that is supposed to be looking after the best interests of a child allow this to happen?

i think its sick, and i can understand those that dont and wont pay.

i used to pay nearly £300 a week child support, and the mother of my children recieved no extra money because of it.(or so she says)

    heres my view...

if a dad pays £20 a week child support, that money should go straight to the child, no decreased benifits, just extra ontop.

if he pays £200 a week, the child should see that money.

i was sick and tired of giving that bottomless pit £300 a week then having my kids come over to my house is raggy clothes because their mother saw none of it. at one point i was considering employing her and paying her the £300 a week directly, cutting out the leech known throughout the land as the C.S.A!

  13. Well, the CSA is a bit of a !*!@# !

in the past i have worked away from home, only seeing my children for a few days a month. out of the £500 a week i was making they were taking nearly £300 a week. this was because i was registered as living at my parents house, and their income was taken into account. also taken into account was the fact i diddnt pay gas, electric, council tax or anything else as my job ment i stayed in B+B's all the time, at the company's expence, therefore even tho i was working away from home and never saw my family or friends, £200 a week was more than enough to live on in a strange town and with a drink problem! (it got spent each week by wednesday night!)

i pity any single dads who earn more than the minimum wage as for every pound you earn over this, they take almost half!

luckily for me tho, the csa hasnt gotten round to taking money from me for my new job, even tho i've rang them with the details. apparently their too busy chasing those dads who dont want to pay anything!

(advice for those not paying: put money into savings each week, last time they caught up with me i was landed with a £4,000 bill, £3000 of which i knew about and could pay... nearly lost everything i'd worked for over that extra £1,000!)

gonna start a new thread on the csa, as i think alot of dads dont know what its all about...
