I am currently researching the Croyle family tree and wonder if anyone can help me. I have knowledge of two brothers James and John whose father James died in Hon Fleur in 1842. They grew up with their mother in Bedlington and were coalminers, John later became a Schoolmaster at the British School along with his wife Jane, whilst James went to Australia with his wife Marion to seek his fortune.

There seems to be a skeleton in the cupbard with regard to James' grandson who later disappeared in New Zealand or Australia, but all links to the family have now passed away and I am unable to glean exactly what may have happened. If anyone has any information or know of any croyle's in that area I would be grateful and happy to share the family history I already have.
