Bedlington went behind to Billingham Town tonight after three minutes, but produced a second half masterclass to come out 5-1 winners that saw them rocket to the top of the Northern League Division One.

The Terriers took time to settle and it was a defensive mishap which gifted the visitors the lead. Bedligton equalised before the break thanks to captain Peter Snowden. Early in the second half it was 2-1 when Shandran fired home from close range. Lee Ludlow made it 3 from the spot before Mark Sheeran scored his first goal for the club with a neat finish into the top cornder. The scoring was rounded off at the death when sub Gary McRoberts raced through to fire low past the keeper and in off the post.

This Saturday (15th), Bedlington start their FA Cup campaign with a 3pm kick off at home to Thackley from Yorkshire. Polo shirts, hoodies, jackets and replica tops are now available, with greater stock numbers available in the coming weeks. Its also hoped 60th anniversary badges will be received before the game.
