Keith Scantlebury Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) Seeing that Christmas is well out of the way, how many of us has either had or given someone a naff or useless prezzie at any time.I remember the first proper xmas me and the wife had together (the previous one we had only been married a week). We were living and working on a large dairy farm in Hertfordshire and the winter months were really busy for us. I left it right to the last minute [5pm xmas eve] before buying her prezzie. I went into Buntingford, a place similar in size to Bedlington, and the only two shops left open were a sweet shop and a hardware store. I went into the sweet shop and bought her a box of chocolates, then into the hardware shop and bought her long shafted axe. On xmas morning I made sure I was well out of her swing when she opened the axe [i did put a pretty ribbon on it]. Luckily she saw the funny side - we needed a new axe anyway.
