Maggie/915 Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 The Tyneside cinema hosted a film and then questions with the man himself. The great thing is it was here in Newcastle and networked live to other venues. If you have never heard of him.I recommend 'I Wanna be Yours' for starters. Then Chicken Town and Beasley Street. They even talk of him being a National Treasure. The Article Monkeys are fans!
alison Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 Saw him at Newbiggin Sports Centre - "Not with a bang but with a Wimpy"

Maggie/915 Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 They had him with Frank Sidebottom in the film Wonky. (Playing at the Leadmill .)The Tyneside had John Otway film and questions the other week.Seems he turned up 'Pi----d'John Cooper Clarke was a really funny and unassuming individual . He came across really well.We have followed him since the 70s.

Maggie/915 Posted October 7, 2013 Author Report Posted October 7, 2013 Look out for an advert for McCains chips.Mostly it seems an ad at the cinema.Very good with the man himself. The Article Monkeys use his lyrics on their latest cd.The film they showed at the Tyneside was called :- 'Evidently John Cooper Clarke'We think it has been on the tele, maybe worth a look on U tube etc
