Maggie/915 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 On Jools Holland this week.He is still better than most.
Symptoms Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 He's not as good as the Cramlington Budgie Strangler ... and you know what I think of him.
Maggie/915 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Report Posted November 9, 2014 We will have to agree to differ. No accounting for taste. After all it's only Rock and Roll and all!
mercuryg Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 I'm a massive fan of Ferry and Roxy Music.
mercuryg Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) The first three Roxy albums are among the best ever made. The debut was truly ground breaking. **Mind, it's telling of the ways of the internet that, when I read the title of the thread, I thought he was dead! Edited November 10, 2014 by mercuryg
Symptoms Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 The only reason folks bought Poxy Music's stuff was for the porn on the album covers.
Malcolm Robinson Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Seconded Sym.......... Might have somehting to do with a girl I wanted to date was besotted with Brian Ferry. Not sure he could even sing?
Maggie/915 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Report Posted November 10, 2014 His style and presentation are great. The music is equally good and yes he can sing.Seem to remember he even used a Renault 4 on on LP
Malcolm Robinson Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Renault 4, oh yeah I remember that one...........not!
ex Bedlingtonian Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Am I missing something here - why is "Bryan Ferry" in "Talk of the Town"?
ex Bedlingtonian Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 What has he got to do with the town?
Maggie/915 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Report Posted November 10, 2014 Topics of general interest! Why do we bother!
ex Bedlingtonian Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Sorry, no offense intended - just curious. "Serious stuff about Bedlington, the wider Bedlingtonshire area," Edited November 10, 2014 by ex Bedlingtonian
Symptoms Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 I've got this one Maggs. It's really about the comparison between The Very Naughty Boy and the Cramlington Budgie Strangler. Cramlington is in "the wider Bedlingtonshire area,"
Malcolm Robinson Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 No it isn't Sym..........? Crammers is across the river.
Symptoms Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 So, Bedlingtonshire is North of the River Blyth?
Malcolm Robinson Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Basically Bedlingtonshire goes from the Blyth to the Wansbeck...backing up to the A192 and the sea on the other side. Runs off down a small stream on the A192 before Hepscott. AFAIK!
