alison Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 Make a Noise for Bedlington16 July at 17:54 · Edited · VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.COMMUNITY LITTER PICK, 6.30PM TUESDAY 21ST JULY, FRONT STREET.To support the great efforts of the Bedlington in Bloom team we are helping them organise a community litter pick to clean the place up in readiness for the visit of the Britain in Bloom judges next wednesday. If you can spare a little time to help out we would be grateful.Volunteers please meet at the Market Place at 6.30pm where you will be directed to the areas to clear.
rosco Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 is there much point doing this as some of the hanging baskets look dead and there are no plants in the square tubs near market tavern
John Fox (foxy) Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 is there much point doing this as some of the hanging baskets look dead and there are no plants in the square tubs near market tavernI would guess they'll be planted out nearer the time rosco, this gives the Low Life who destroy them less time to act.
rosco Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 if it judged on Wednesday it doesn't give much time to plant them
John Fox (foxy) Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 The tubs he refers to are now planted out Alison.
Malcolm Robinson Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Yes and I hope everyone who says they have the well-being of our Town at heart gets behind initiatives such as this! And if anyone is really interested…………
rosco Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 we must have lowest of the low life because Morpeth have had all planters made up for weeks even though they are in main street
Malcolm Robinson Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Yep and to cap that someone is stealing some of the flowers being put in the new fountain planters in the Market Place every weekend. Makes you wonder……………
rosco Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 would have been nice if they had been planted out for a while to give them a chance to mature/grow but thanks to the low life Knobs of Bedlington who think its fun rip them out and replace with beer bottles etc they are never going look very good
Bedlingtonian Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 I am sure it will be a great effort by all although it was more than just a litter pick for those that had to tidy the front of the Top Club earlier. Well done
John Fox (foxy) Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 I am sure it will be a great effort by all although it was more than just a litter pick for those that had to tidy the front of the Top Club earlier. Well done It was a great effort by all who were there Bedlingtonian, but it was the Bedlington in Bloom group, Wendy from MAN 4 Bed, and two of our Independent West Bedlington Town Councillors including the Mayor who put in the effort tonight, The people who criticize the most on this site and other social media sites were missing, I've no doubt some had commitments with family competing in the finals of the Underwater Double Decker Bus Championships and others would be hard pushed to get a Sitter for the pet Hamster but Howay where were they?
