I heard today that the Bank Top Hotel has been sold to developers who intend to knock it down and build houses on the site. It was a great pub once upon a time when Albert Gibbon was the landlord.

The Bank top was once a good place to have a pint when my cousin Albert had the lease but lately it has become a dive

Its does not look to a very big site, I wonder how many houses could be built on it ?

but anything is possible as I see they seen to have squashed in quite a few houses on the site of the old Albion Inn at Bog-houses.

So, Monsta® is back after being absent for over four years but where's he been?  A five stretch in Franklin and let out early for good behaviour or has he been away at Uni?  My guess is Uni as most of his previous post aligned with school breaks/lunchtimes when he could use the school's PCs;  being at Uni he would have other stuff to be getting on with so wouldn't have time to post here.

I've heard on the grapevine that the Bank Top has had a lucky escape, that it's open again and the building plans have been shelved for some reason. Don't get down that way much, anyone add to this? Or is it wrong!
