Alan Edgar (Eggy1948) Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Has anyone any info, stories etc. on the school that is labelled on the 1896 map approximately where Hollymount Square is now? Just noticed it the last time I had the map loaded and when I checked on the next map, revised 1920, the abbreviation 'Sch.' on the 1896 map had been replaced with the abbreviation 'Misn. Rm.' The ordnance survey list of abbreviations shows 'Misn.' = Mission. Nothing for the 'RM.' that I would assume is Room. I could go to the Woodhorn museum but I'm not desperate, just curious.
