I have never heard anyone say that the garage buildings were once owned by the National Coal Board (NC) but I will ask around and see what I can find out. I will also ask around about a 'small chapel'. I have never know there to be a chapel in that area -

 

 

There was a Methodist Chapel in that area going back over the years, but I don't know if it is active anymore. Possibly the colliery Chapel took over as that is/was a Methodist  Chapel.

Don't remember a door there because the dart board was on that wall.

Alan you need to put more tables in the café area😄 only joking, you have done a splendid job thank you. 

Spoke to an old friend of mine on the phone today he has assured me that the only door in the table tennis room was the door at the back which led onto the grass area. As you approached the stage on the left hand side the stairs that led to the stage were up against that wall. Cl could be right about the storage cupboard but I have also been informed that there was a storage cupboard after the dark room   just before you entered the café area. The door into the big hall was in the café area. If you entered the café and turned immediately right there was a door on that wall that took you into the big hall. 

It could have been an emergency exit but I still don't remember a door in the table tennis room going onto the stage but I could be wrong.

Don't remember a door in that room that went to the stage. There was a door at the back of the room that went out to the grass area behind the YM. The stage was further forward than it is in Alans drawing as there was two changing rooms at the back of the stage, one to the left hand side of the stage and one to the right.
