I am trying to trace descendants of my paternal grandfather, whom I never knew, but who came from BEDLINGTON. He would have been alive at the start of the 20th century. I know that he served in the Metropolitan Police, was in the Coldstream Guards and was also a coal miner. I know he had two sons - actually three including my father. I have a few more details of his career and life, which I am happy to share with anyone who may be able to help make connections. Robert's son, my father, is alive, active and well at 83 and curious to learn more about his family background. The existence of Robert's third son, my father, may be a surprise to his family.
