About Me

Chapman family from Norfolk moved to Bedlington. Great-grandmother Jane Chapman born Bedlington 1867. Immigrated to Sydney on Samuel Plimsoll 12/6/1879, with parents James and Mary Ann (nee Barber) and brother William (b 1864). Other brothers John Thomas and Samuel also immigrated circa 1883. Sisters Mary Ann Tubby and Sarah Gaskin remained in Bedlington.

I am a retired librarian who loves the detective work involved in family history. I also like to visit cemeteries for the history and expressions of memorialisation. I like to take photos of all aspects of nature.
