    the big square climbing frame has gone now too. i liked that climbing frame! :mellow:

    So did i, there used to be a competion who could do the most trips across the monkey bars without falling off, the best i got was 21, my hands looked like i`d grated them with a cheese grater by the end..and i only came 2nd :mellow::lol:

    i remember something aboot that the vicker at the time was locked up coz there was a kids body found under the floor of the little chapple that was why it was demolished before it was knocked down it was used as an under age brothel

    Aye that`s right, he`d dangle his conkers to get their attention :lol:

    any memories of what it was used for? or why it was knocked down?

    I don`t remember seeing it used at all although it must of been used at one time and i don`t know why it was demolished either, maybe it was unsafe due to too many youngins climbing on it`s roof :lol:

    I was having a chat today that stirred some old memories.....

    Can anyone else remember a small church like building at the entrance to West Lea cemetary? and if so, anyone got pictures?

    i seem to remember climbing on the roof of this building as a young'un to get a better shot with my 'conker stick'!

    anyone got any info?

    I can remember the church, or was it a Chapel? It got knocked down years ago..and the conker trees around the church area are the best conker trees in the cemetery, i still go to see if i can find the biggest one :D

    We are currently carrying out yet another cull of lurkers. A slight variation from previous culls is that non-contributing members who have taken the trouble to put something about themselves in their profile - even in the odd case a picture - have not been removed - yet!

    Even if you have nothing to say it's important that you post a little hello in the Introduce Yourself Forum to let the moderators know that you have more in mind than selling generic Viagra. :)

    Are you saying that if new members don`t post they`ll be banned? A lot of folk join just so they can read the forums and since some parts of the forums are members only they don`t have a lot of choice but to join..but it doesn`t mean they`re spammers?

    You can spot the spammers a mile off by their ip`s, emails and names, so why don`t you just block them straight away then leave the legit new members to speak when they are ready? I know one or two members on here that often read the forum but hardly ever post simply because they don`t feel confident enough..

    anyone know who's got the dun cow i drove past on sat and the doors were open :huh:

    I noticed it open last week but i haven`t a clue who`s got it..I heard a rumour a couple of months ago that him out the Tavern was taking it over but i don`t know if this is true??

    A nail-biting contest that went all the way to the wire. Despite all his big talk, Pete has gone right off the boil and brought up the rear this month. A big BedPredLeague welcome to Geddy aka Merlin, who will doubtless be using his mystical powers to challenge for honours in the big month of October.

    Also, from what i read of [reference to Sleazeware removed], why would you want this piece of kit?

    it seems its only use is to spam forums with links, of which most forums can now identify as spam before the post is added to the forum.

    It seems to be a redundant program now, and its application is frowned upon by forum owners. If you must use it, prepare to be banned from a lot of forums.

    If you must post links, at least have the decency to do it manually! ;)
