Dear All

As ever you get the info first...

Funding News just in.

West Bedlington Town Council have just given us £1000 from the Community Chest Award Scheme.

Many, many thanks to them for their continued generosity & support to our project.

We have contacted all of the Parish/Town Councils & County Councillors, in our broadcast footprint, for funding towards our next transmission. :dj:

Please feel free to lobby them for us. We would much appreciate that!

Have you tried UK coal for funding? as they have got a £500,000 community fund as part potland burn opencast and have only given out £98,000 of it as of february 2012.

Shouldn't be too long before we are back on the airwaves then?

Still a fair way to go Brettly. But we are getting there!

Dear All

As always, whenever I get some news, you are the first to hear:

Thanks to a Co-operative Community Fund grant we are now £1000 closer to our next Bedlington fm broadcast.

How about that for a Co-op divi?

Keep an eye out for a full story in the news section.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Question:

Why are kind funding donations like buses? Cos you wait ages for one, then two turn up!

Many, many thanks to The Sir James Knott Trust for their wonderful £3000 cheque.

Does this mean we will be hearing you on the airwaves soon?

Hopefully not too far away Canny Lass.

We`ve got a bit more to raise for transmission kit hire etc. But I would expect sooner rather than later. :dj:

Dear All.

Just to keep you up to speed:

  • After nearly five years of hard work The South Northumberland Radio Group CIC, under the station name Synergy, has officially applied to be considered for the Region 4 North East England Community Radio Licence.

  • Our application has been received & accepted by Ofcom.

  • If there is an eventual winner of the licence, they will have the right to broadcast for a period of at least five years.

  • An announcement should be made by the Autumn of this year.

  • Synergy is one of three applicants for the licence.

Good luck to all involved!

The SNRG Management Team.

Excellent news John and I have my fingers crossed as I was hoping for a slot once everything was back up and running.

It sure deserves it for the hard work everyone has put in.

Good luck to all involved, shame you can't all get a licence.
