hi, can anyone bring to light or have any old pictures of as was inthe past Puddlers Lane or as now known as Stead Lane. Why was the name changed as I thought Puddlers Lane was a really cute name.

The "Puddlers" would have worked at the ironworks but I'm not sure why the name was changed.

Not sure why it was changed but the following link shows that it streched as far as the Station.

according to www.keystothepast.info puddlers lane changed name between 1926 and 1938
