The thing is,I canna remember exactly when they first mowed the field to have the Miner's Picnic there,cos it used to be held at Ashington.

 

@HIGH PIT WILMA - Malcolm Robinson posted the last programme from the picnic held in 1989 and in it was a list of where all the previous picnics were held, and in which town. The first one in Bedlington was 1952 :-
