Keith Scantlebury Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) Seeing that Christmas is well out of the way, how many of us has either had or given someone a naff or useless prezzie at any time.I remember the first proper xmas me and the wife had together (the previous one we had only been married a week). We were living and working on a large dairy farm in Hertfordshire and the winter months were really busy for us. I left it right to the last minute [5pm xmas eve] before buying her prezzie. I went into Buntingford, a place similar in size to Bedlington, and the only two shops left open were a sweet shop and a hardware store. I went into the sweet shop and bought her a box of chocolates, then into the hardware shop and bought her long shafted axe. On xmas morning I made sure I was well out of her swing when she opened the axe [i did put a pretty ribbon on it]. Luckily she saw the funny side - we needed a new axe anyway.
