tomtom Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Very pleased to hear that - look forward to having another place to eat in Bedlington. Incidentally anyone remember Borgias?
SPLODGE Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 i was in last night and Thursday night.very well presented and good taste.good selection of beers and wines and for them who are driving a great selection of soft drinks. OK its not good for parking but you can always park in tescos car park and walk down.alot better than it was before in decoration.go and see it.see the change,i think you will like.
Claire Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Thanks Splodge, think we'll have to have a trip down this weekend.
tomtom Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 and us too, my good lady and I are always on the lookout for nice places to eat. Any idea what type of food they intend serving in the restuarant i.e. Fusion, Italian etc or just good old english!

tomtom Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Looks as though it's going to be called Sebastians Italian Ristorante and it opens on the 1st April. Looking forward to visiting.
Malcolm Robinson Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Wonder if that is the same one that was going into the top floor of the Red Lion until Wetherspoon got it? Just wondering if there were two Italian restaurants looking around Bedders or one?

Just wondering if there were two Italian restaurants looking around Bedders or one?Seems to be an awful lot of secrecy about the place, no advertising. Looking at all these posts. Assuming the pub is open Makes one wonder if they want anyone in there. Edited March 8, 2011 by foxy
Keith Scantlebury Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Why would you describe it as an "Italian Ristorante"? surely the word ristorante is enough to let you know that it is Italian.
countrygirl Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Very pleased to hear that - look forward to having another place to eat in Bedlington. Incidentally anyone remember Borgias?Yes ... With fond memories
tomtom Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Has anyone been to Sebastian's in the Milfield yet - if so, would you care to share your experience on the food/ambience?

outsider Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) New Millfield restaurant in Bedlington. I know. We r looking for somewhere to eat this weekend and I fancied the Millfield, but I couldn't find any info. I might mention the lack of advertisement if we go. Edited May 19, 2011 by outsider

I might mention the lack of advertisement if we go.I think this is putting us off going too - wouldn't mind seeing some info about before we decide - very puzzling
tomtom Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 Don't let the lack of advertising put you off. My wife amd I have been to Sebastians several times since it opened and have enjoyed every visit - in fact we'll be there probably at the weekend.
Malcolm Robinson Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 Full page ad in the NPL this week........
Merlin Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 Noticed that the Dun Cow has now become The Milfield, anyone know the craic?Claire you took any photo's of daffodils this year :dribble:
Mr Darn Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 The better half and myself enjoyed a meal there recently. The only thing, and this is being picky as hell!, was the final bill. When it came it was a slip of cheap thin till roll, with "drinkdrinkdrinkdrinkfoodfoodTotal"which did the job i'll admit, but i think an upgrade to something more personalised and itemised would be better, especially looking at the consumer aimed at.But lets face it, if that's all i have to complain about, the place MUST be impressive! There's talk of closing the bar altogether and making it all one restaurant. anyone else heard this?
P.A.W.S. Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Incidentally anyone remember Borgias? Borgias was the best - could have competed with any posh place, but they had the perfect balance of friendly, not over-familiar, service and superb food.
pennylane909 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Went to the millfield for my sisters birthday recently, food was delicious, staff were friendlyHowever we had to wait almost an hour for our food.....although there was about 12 of us so maybe's that was the reasonTasty place though, i'd recommend
