Oh look, Mr G. has declared a "ceasefire"! Must have been all those messages of condemnation that were starting to weigh on his conscience.

Anyway, can't have had anything to do with the long overdue UN authorisation for action, because they "absolutely do not recognise" it. Wonder what happened to the bit about civilian and military activities in the Mediterranean becoming "the target of a Libyan counter-attack"?

Off to War again, this time against who..........oh yes......

So where is the money coming from to pay for the weapons? Thought we had nowt, Suppose they could always cut down on the guest list at the forthcoming wedding, but they will probably go for the easy option and make more cuts that kicks joe public in the b***s.

Oh come on, use your imagination! We've got those two massive new aircraft carriers Gordo ordered and we can't now cancel. I'm sure Gaddafi could be persuaded to cling on to power until 2019 to 2023 when they are commissioned. This leaves us plenty of time to develop convincing cardboard-cut-out strike aircraft to line up on the decks. When that lot comes sailing over the horizon every dictator in the World is going to want to leave for Sharm el-Sheik as fast as they can clean the billions out of their private safes. Only a matter of time until Britannia rules the waves again - you can bet your civil service pension on it!

I suppose it could be argued we are building in disposability into our weapon sales………….we sell these people the weapons, then bomb them to bits every few years and sell them more soon afterwards.

Ya gotta make a dollar or two ma boy………

If there was no oil in these places would they really give a damn?

The short answer is yes; this time it's personal!

Gaddafi is blaming al-Qaeda **and** Zionists **and** the Crusaders (the West). That has to be a historic first: all the bitterly opposed forces of history are somehow lined up against him. To some extent he's right, but that doesn't mean he's not a paranoid, manipulative, murdering, power-hungry, friendless SOB. There's hardly a nation on earth that wouldn't like to see the back of him.

It's quite simply pay-back time!

It seems that every British Prime minister and American President from Margaret Thatcher and George Bush snr. has not been satisfied until they have added a war to their c.v. Up until 1982 many citizens of our wonderful Isles of Britain thought that the Falkland Islands were off the coast of Scotland somewhere. Yes, the Falkland invasion needed sorting out but did we really need to get involved with the gulf situations? Ask many citizens of Iraq and they will tell you that life under Saddam was a lot better than it is now . To us in the West he was a murdering, self worshipping tyrant that needed getting rid of for the good of Humankind. To the people of Iraq, he was as described but they knew where they stood with him and order was kept. G.W.Bush and Blair should have kept their noses out ,[ they didn't even find the W.O.M.D. that they were looking for.] The same could be said of Gaddafi. The !*!@# is no differrent now than he was 20 , 30 or even 40 years ago [it is just that world news gets around better.] A visit to the garage to put fuel in your car will jog your memory as to why the western world wants to drop a bomb on his napper. Also it seems that our armed forces are not spread thinly enough, maybe there are too many of them in one place at the moment, making them easy targets, that is why so many of them are getting shot etc. So heres an idea for the comedy Daves, bring back national service to reduce the dole queue, then when you dont have enough people to fill the jobs, INCREASE the retirement age. [tell the people that it is cos they are living longer]. The likes of Gaddafi thrive on this sort of thing. He is laughing at us arguing with each other to see who is going to give him the first smack and in the meantime the great and wonderful leaders in Westminster have still not cottoned on the fact that the ordinary British motorist does not have bottomless pockets when it comes to filling the family car up . ........ Oh, by the way, I bought a couple of bikes off e-bay for me and the wife yesterday. That is my two fingers up to the greedy gits, and we may get fitter in the meantime

The IMF reckon there's over 5 billion quids worth of gold sitting in the bank in Tripoli!

Course that would buy Gaddafi a first class plane ticket somewhere .............
