Some members here will still remember Mrs Mary Weightman MBE. For over half a century she ran the People's Animal Welfare Service which she founded and built almost single-handedly. For those who don't know, the Clinic still lives and breathes, now under the auspices of Sheila Johnstone and a dwindling band of volunteers, in Millbank Road.

We intend to keep running as per Mary's wishes, but find it increasingly difficult. Time to blow our trumpet from the rooftops again, therefore.
