Malcolm Robinson Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 It was always going to be madness........more political will than anything resembling sense! http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/london-and-the-2012-olympic-games-a-match-made-in-hell-a-844599.html

Brett Posted July 26, 2012 Author Report Posted July 26, 2012 Quite a good little infographic for people who can't be bothered to read.http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/datablog/interactive/2012/jul/26/london-2012-price-olympic-games-visualised
threegee Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Every time I try to listen listen to my usual news sources just as soon as the word Olympic is half mentioned I get the message "Due to rights restrictions this part of the program is not available." repeated over and over. So, I've said auf wiedersehen to Auntie Beeb, and am now getting all my Olympic news from here. What's a "Corporate Society"? Thought I might have accidentally visited The New Statesman website for a few desperate seconds!
Brett Posted July 30, 2012 Author Report Posted July 30, 2012 For anyone outside of the UK wanting better coverage of the olympics, this has been renowned to work. Tested in US and Barcelona and so far successful. 1. Install http://www.expatshield.com/2. Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/2012/live-video
Malcolm Robinson Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 How much is being spent on security..................or anyone want to guess...........Whatever the figure is, and I would say at least twice to cost of the games themselves, not really effective........... http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/londonspy/india-mystified-olympic-gatecrasher-103346738.html
Malcolm Robinson Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 Also this stuff about empty seats.......................Can't we see knighthoods taken off people never mind suggesting more handed out like confetti. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/news/9436671/Olympics-empty-seats-event-by-event-breakdown.html
