I am Mike Kirkup - editor of A Creeful of Coals.  The magazine is still going strong and is available through outlets in Ashington, Newbiggin, Bedlington, Guide Post, Choppington, Morpeth, Ellington, Lynemouth, Linton, Amble and Blyth.  It is also available by subscription and is posted out monthly to readers all around this country and ex-pats in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Singapore, Belgium, Cyprus . . . The Creeful has been running for over twenty years now and I am always on the lookout for stories/memories from our readers.  I also publish local history books, mainly covering the Ashington and Newbiggin area, and also books on mining.
