'Tyne' a production first performed at the 'Live theatre' and featuring some of Sting's songs is on for best part of a week at the Theatre Royal starting on the 4th March 2014.

There is a post show talk after the performance on the 4th.

I'll arrange to vector the RAF training flights away from the Blyth Valley and suggest they make an attack sortie over the Theatre Royal early in March;  perhaps they'll succeed in silencing the Cramlington Budgie Strangler once and for all, thus saving Sym's delicate lugs.

No, no, no Maggs ... it'd be just like Mal offering to take me to a match at that mackem dark place.  I need to preserve what brain cells I have left so can't risk exposing them to the CBS or the mackemstuff.

Symptoms , have you seen 'Purely Belter' the film or read the book 'The Season Ticket'

Sometimes what you think you hate can change to maybe not love but respect.

Pushing my luck!

Sting's The Last Ship' is very very good.

The imagery he creates is second to none.

Even 'Balthazar's Feast' makes an appearance.

The play at the Theatre Royal this week 'Tyne' is excellent.

Great use of music. ( including a couple of Sting songs)

Michael Chaplin has produced a book 'Tyne View' which describes his walk along the river.

It was from this, that the play became a reality.

Now now Symptoms I may have to refer you to a higher authority 'God'

Actually God may already be after Sting!

To understand you would have to listen to the Last Ship and decide if he is blaspheming!

I shall spake mighty judgement upon all, and to convince doubters and ungodly amongst them of all their ungodly deeds and offenses which they have committed, and all of their hard speeches which these ungodly sinners have spoken in defense of that abomination who cackles and speaketh with false tones.  This fruit of Beelzebub's putrid loins who sprouted forth and falsely beguiled many in my flock with his discordant bleating will never be saved.  He who is known as the Cramlington Budgie Strangler will never be saved.  Listen well to those who are wise for they do know that the CBS is false.

No Malcolm, I have not heard the story.

Maybe I was in Outer Mongolia at the time.

Obviously I can guess at the tale.

On Breakfast TV Sting said Jimmy Nail had been his 'Muse'.

Where upon Jimmy said that was the worst insult he had ever had to suffer.

I feel i must be living a very sheltered Life here!

Cramlington Budgie Strangler? Somebody explain!

Sting worked in Cramlington as a teacher.

Not sure about the Budgie story.

This is all very well but what's the tale about the budgie!

Symptoms - you can't escape, there are two many ladies begging for you to reveal your ornithological bent!

Is it really budgie stranglers or is it smugglers ?
