Monty Python Reunion

Recommended Posts

I first saw their telly programmes in 1969 in the Students Union ... the place was packed, but to be honest I didn't 'get it' at first.  Most of the other students were in hysterics and I thought what a bunch of pseuds ... my experience of comedy was 'blue' comics at the Market Place Club or 'tame' types on Sunday Night at the London Palladium,  but the show quickly grew on me and by week three I was hooked and have been ever since.

Welcome back Symptoms.

Some things I did not find funny but so much is now part of our every day speech.

Hells Granny's was my mother because she had a motor scooter and could use a handbag to great effect.

The Spanish Inquisition, the argument 5 minute or half an hour not to mention so many many others.

My Grandkids love the Swimming with Llamas on the live at Drury Lane show.

Most of it is politically incorrect now.

'And you tell the kids these days and they don't believe you'

Actually mine do, because they enjoy the whole silly thing.
