A very nice read!

Written 1955 - 1959.  I base that on two statements in the book:

1.The rateable value for the Urban District for 1955 is published on page 21.

I'd suggest that was the most recent information available at the time of writing.

2. The Old Hall, mentioned as being well worth a visit on page 10, was demolished 1959.
