Hi sorry for the late introduction. I am tracing my family tree so I am joining local sites as I find they are very useful to get to know an area. Although I am from NorthSeaton I know little to nothing about Bedlington. I moved away to Durham .My dads family all came from Newcastle but married local people from bedlington. They were a big family so I am bound to have relatives all over the area.

Hello All My name is Peter Hastie. I don't live in Bedlington, but have some family history in Blyth, Cowpen Quay, Bebside and Horton. My main interest is the Home Guard. At the moment I have a website dedicated to the men who served in Newcastle. As research sources dry up I hope to expand it to include areas around Newcastle including Blyth and Bedlington. I have a photo of the Officers in the Bedlington Home Guard. I have posted it on the History Hollow
