Hi, No we don't have any serious fires near us, but the smoke is very bad, we had some low 30 but now low 20 which is just fine for me. Fires have been bad again this year, BC is getting hit just now, causing lots of evacuations, it's bad out east as well, it's that bad Mr Trump wants to put on tariffs because of the smoke, we are getting lots of his smoke.

I see Europe is having the same problem, even King Arthur's seat was ablaze! but I don't see any in the N.E.

I think it was her "National Registration Identity." I have my late Father in law's card and the top line has "G C E V. 310:1 " then his name, address etc. The disc would just be more durable than a paper card, especially in the war time conditions, air raid shelters etc

Thank you Alan, I'm relieved it's not me! I'm used to going straight to this page then sometimes going to other areas later, I can live with it but would call it a downgrade rather than an upgrade! (perspective!) I still miss the live camera... 🤸

Unfortunately he doesn't give any references but only acknowledgements.

I understand Alan, My windows Vista is on old computer but not on line, can't beet some of those old programs. Steady daily snow 2-3" here, -20c keeps the mosquitos away.

!00% correct Mal, a terrible decision to push through their plans, although I do agree with their reasonings they gave. The procedure after eight years was a deliberate attempt to shut down a reasonable alternative plan, if their explanations are valid then I feel they are correct, I felt their body language and attitude just showed contempt for the councillors, I hope at least they really consider the alternative plan.

I'm not sure who wrote the article but I first thought it was Ian Lavery MP , and Mal was sharing it! Good cause, Good luck whoever it was.

There are millions now regretting voting Trump in, he’s a totally incompetent lying idiot, I don’t know who pulls his stings but they are the ones making the promised changes, and they not all bad but.. many are illegal and even against their constitution, when he goes off script and goes on a totally irrelevant lying rant making ridicules claims we see him as the real lying idiot that he is.

I live in Alberta, there is a big movement about leaving Canada and going alone, the western Provinces Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia are also talking about it too. The west has the resources and the East has the population. Quebec and Ontario bleed the west and the west is getting tired of it! I’d rather fix Canada than split it! Quebec is the problem.

Carney was elected because of the Trump situation, he made many promises, none have been kept yet, although I did like his approach to making Canada more independent from USA. When we have our national elections the outcome has been decided before Alberta vote, six time zones.

Arch enemy  #1 "the evil orange man" is no friend of ours, he certainly can't be trusted and I hope the project isn't relying on him! Our similar projects are on hold partly because of the instability he is causing, Canada is diversifying our economy because of his hostility and radical changes .

I see funding is approved, excellent.
