Your right Merlin they do not live in the same world as us. Have you head there latest idea, its a rehash of what they did before, they are going to have amnesty centers for people to hand in their guns and weapons (down memory lane seems to come to mind). Do they really think people that commit these crimes are going to walk into the Police station and hand over their weapons, there sitting at home laughing at them because they haven't got a clue.
