  1. Hope we can expect a more professional presentational style from Bedlington's premier radio organisation! Professional, with bounding enthusiasm... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D54eqJozjS0
  2. The woman on the end was heard to say; "There`s never a Boy Scout around when you need one!"
  3. Luckily Jeremy Beadle never came across this guy!
  4. And a Happy Birthday from me too
  5. Here`s some local talent: A couple of KEVI High School kids in a dance video produced by Lewis Jackson (the guy I did the Beef Jerky Ad with). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNvZjpvYVWo Yowser, yowser, yowser.
  6. Nice contributions Fourgee. The technique of letting the subject do the movement while the camera is static is a favourite of mine.
  7. I'm off to join the scouts........... Is it too late to claim my badge?
  8. Do you remember these? Classic little public information films. I believe we have a lot to thank them for. They may have helped us get to the ripe old age we did! On one occasion "Clunk Click" certainly did for me! Please feel free to contribute videos to this thread.
  9. Monsta. I used to get JT Armstrong Woodhorn Road, Newbiggin. I`ve still seen their lorries around still
  10. Top news Merlin. Are you working on the new electric car? They are fantastic. But have you seen their batteries Roll on Monday!
  11. An impromptu Synergy programme/equipment procurement meeting...
  12. Any problems with E-mailing completed forms please feel free to post them to: SNRG 7 St. Johns Road, Bedlington. NE22 7DU. Volunteer application form.pdf
  13. Ok so the production standard is no where near the other videos but in my defence I argue this is more than compensated by: Subject matter Aaah factor Inclement weather related music track (Snow Patrol) I rest my case!
  14. I can`t even get used to using a Mac mouse! Meanwhile back at the thread. Here`s an appropriately named one for a Monday morning...
  15. Malcolm. The music track & the precise 20 sec version for the finished ad was composed on Apple Mac Garageband by an ex pupil of mine from the 70s (now friend & Synergy colleague) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1044352/ He also tinkered around a bit with a TTTV/Channel 4 minor hit called The Tube. Don`t remember it myself Back all those years ago he was in a punk band so goodness knows what music he`ll play to the good people of Bedders & beyond.
  16. Dear All Please find attached volunteer application form. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Could you please E-mail completed forms to: john.white@snrgroup.co.uk I look forward to hearing from you. Volunteer application form.pdf
  17. Malcolm. At least promise you`ll get your hoover out before your next epic As the theme of the thread has moved a bit it gives me the opportunity to show a right bunch of local cowboys at work in a field somewhere in Eshottheugh...
  18. Malcolm Although there is always a place for hand held, single camera technique (The Bill, Hill Street Blues etc. etc.}, this has not quite got the high production values I was looking for in this thread. Apart from that you could have at least tidied up a bit!
  19. There`s more to this thread than stunt video shorts. Like this for example...
  20. A big thank you to all who braved rather inclement weather conditions to attend our meeting. I myself fell foul to said conditions & my profound apologies for not being there to meet you. I`m sure there will be numerous occasions in the future when we can get together & have a chat! Feed back about the meeting was excellent from my colleagues, with a number of valuable links forged. I will of course keep you up to date as things happen & in the meantime do not hesitate to pm me if I can be of assistance with anything: that is anything that doesn`t involve snow & ice Or if you would like to volunteer to help us in some way. Take care out there!
  21. Nice one Malcolm. Although I think I`ve seen this guy before... on St.Johns Road at the weekend!
  22. Check this one out... I could do that!
  23. Firming up the details even more I can say we will be in Room 4. If you haven`t already done so please drop me a PM if you think you might be attending so we can get the Tea/Coffee numbers correct. Many thanks. Hope you can make it.
  24. South Northumberland Radio Group is pleased to announce the award of £9,129 from the Big Lottery Fund. The cash will help the group pay for broadcasting equipment, licences, IT, marketing and music for its station "˜Synergy' which is to be based at 90 Front Street East, Bedlington. The award adds to money and fund pledges from several local parish and town councils, voluntary contributions and the former Wansbeck Council. Said group member John White: "We are absolutely delighted that the Big Lottery Fund sees our initiative as one that will bring major benefits to the community at large. We based our application on a project to provide a genuinely accessible community radio station to serve the population of south east Northumberland. "Now the work begins in earnest to get the studio up and running and to train volunteers for presenting and producing top rate entertaining programmes and all the other associated technical and administrative tasks. "I've lived in the area all my life and it's been my long-term ambition to get this project going. I believe that with the help and support of our many well-wishers we can give this part of the world a radio station of which they can be justly proud," he said.
