Instead of going on line, go and see Django Unchained, it is Pulp Fiction meets Mel Brooks and Blazing Saddles. Excellent

Well done Keith. Anyone heard the word 'kist' to describe the top of the leg where it meets the body. Keep it clean.

Water water everywhere. Anyone noticed the graveyard water, just down from Westridge. Gravestones floating. Anything to do with the new houses! Have the developers put in the right drainage. Will they compensate when the old houses flood.

It would be great if our main street was thriving. Shops that people could browse, a place like Morpeth that people wanted to drive a distance to shop. We have a wide main street that is unusual and an asset. We have a history that is exceptional. We have amazing walks. Let us hope things change before it is to late.

Part of Bedlington for so long. Cars petrol and more. Last remaining Garage. When it closes will the last person switch out the lights.. I am not saying it is going to close. I hope it does not

Listening to Northumbrian Voices reminds me that our dialect is not so very different from up country. Guess the rise of the coal industry and before that the Iron Works shaped our way of speaking. Pitmatic may have started of as a term of abuse but it is now seen as important. It is just the way we speak.

Local lad, Amble, Johney Dickenson has been ill and a collection of artists have compiled a cd to download. It is not expensive, only a fiver. John Renbourn has even been involved Look him up on the Internet. Very interesting

I was going to say no more, but being 'gobby', here goes. My opinion Parking up on the Blagdon Road in the car park past the Snowy Owl Pub! You then walk through a woody glade. When the full impact of the Lady is visible, you cannot fail to be impressed. If you are flying into Newcastle you will see it. Anyone hiring a hot air balloon please invite a certain person from the site. Once again my opinion, in 1998 I was considered an oddity for saying I liked the Angel. An early life here taught me to value everyone's opinion, whilst keeping my own. Debating society Westridge.

Anyone remember the folk club in Ashington. I like the Unthanks too. They are good to see live.

There is even mention of a Barty Potts and three goals scored in the Northumberland Minor Cup. Kathryn was asked to write a piece of music for the occasion. Try to get this particular cd it is so much more than the music.
-
Another female Kathryn Tickell did a series of shows last year. The double cd is relevant to us in Bedlington because of the Language used. The tales are spell binding. You do not need a hot air balloon or to be scared of ghosts.

I would like to pay tribute to a local lady who made a difference in so many ways. She lived in Bedlington and was involved in local history groups and the Northumberland County Council. The record office at Meldon Park even named the local history search room after her.

What did you think of the Angel of the North and what do you think of it now? Burial Mounds, history and a talking point. What more can art do, but inspire controversy. The open cast, the form of a lady, a viewing platform for all the area, bringing tourists to the area, I love the whole thing controversy included It is a good thing to have democracy where we can disagree

Back to the topic. Not that Bond movies are not important. The house was amazing to go around. Still would be if we had access. The grounds, the garden going down to the river would all have made a great National Trust property experience. Once again unique Bedlington.
