    hello all New joiner to the forum thanks to mum in law. She died recently and after going through ALL of her paperwork we have discovered that part of the family comes from the Choppington and Ashington areas. My wifes Grandad and Great Grandad were both miners and lived around the High Pit area and we hope to find out a bit more about them and their life. Known names are:- William John and Elizabeth Jane Craigs. and their daughter Eleanor. Rod aka scoobox
