Eggy brilliant photos there was a lollipop ride there as you can see the photo of the high flyer is scary no council in the Land would have one them in there parks mind you health & safety didn't exist then..if you hurt yourself then your mum Would spit on a hanky then wipe the blood of now the parents would sue,sad really ......

  3. Does.anybody remember it? It used to be next to the grammar school it had some scary rides there As I recall . As youngsters we used to call them the high flyer, low flyer,tea pot lid. Hobby horse,& of coarse the swings it really was a nice park the council sold the land to the high school I think,they called it progress Mmm...
  4. Did you know there was also a tennis club there aswell as bowling green very popular in the 30's,40's & 50's

    I'm going to Brisbane on the 5th of August,apparently people are telling me they eat bugs there as anybody had any of these & what do they taste like,thanks

  15. Malcolm, instead of sending warning letters the police should have visited there houses they might of found the culprits who stole the Bench from the park,sending letters does nothing as there parents are probably as thick as them,no respect....

If they used there pea brains & decided to make lots & create A business they would be able them cheap get a good living with enough left over for there drugs & beer without spoiling anybody else's Enjoyment, we have numpties where I live but I haven't seen anybody nick a picnic bench it's crazy

On the Northumberland archive web site there is a photo of my great great granda on there, he was a postman in Bellingham & was Jane's father he must have been born about 1840-50's he was called Antony Charlton.As I said can't thank you enough Cheers.....
