I see nothing on there about it. If it is there, its incredibly tedious to find...
Surely something like this deserves a higher presence? or is it just me?

I read those...My parents do live that way, I'm in that terrible area halfway between Bedlington and Bedlington Station.
Its a shame Bedlington doesn't have a website with this information on it...

My daily trip to the parents yielded fruit an old topic of conversation today...
Namely Bedlington Sporting Facilities
(Sorry Merc! I don't have any links to information for you, this is hear-say)Mother was told of a plan to introduce plans to build somewhere around the Red House Farm area, and an upcoming information request from Bedlington residents on what they would like to see in it.
There was also rumour that this is a private venture, and not council based...Anyone hear the same thing? or have a source for the Wikipedia moderators among you?
If you did get some kind of centre, what would you want there?

I did the same thing there and just stirred the pot once I heard them talking about it.To be honest, With the exception of me saying 'I don't know enough to vote sensibly, therefore I won't be voting', I'd consider all my replies on the subject to be pot stirring.
I come here to get information on Bedlington. I remember when that was the subject most of the time, but now it just seems to be a penis-measuring political cess-pool.Whilst I realise politics will have a profound effect on Bedlington in one way or another, It bores the hell out of me.

I'm sorry, but if you think the Muslim community isn't a threat to Britain, then you're misguided.
The greatest threat to Britain right now is the womb. No missiles, or bombers. The womb.
They have every intention of seeding Britain with as many Muslim women as possible, and impregnating them several fold.
Within 2 decades, those children will do the same, and create pockets of Muslim faith, entitling them to a place of worship and the claim of the territory, as more Muslims live there than Brits.
They will slowly but surely take over every part of Britain and make it their own, if we don't fight back and say if you're wanting to move here, you take on our laws.
I'll say no more, till 10 years from now. Then you can buy me a pint and tell me I was right. Lets see... Lets just see.

An idea for those around the world who wanted to be there, but for whatever reason, Couldn't.
I barely knew the man personally, but knew about him.
The atmosphere alone had me choking back tears, especially when the clapping and revving started.It's a day I won't forget in a hurry.

Total chaos in Bedlington, and car alarms blaring due to the revving of the bikes.
as predicted, quite the sendoff.

That may be so Merc, but still didn't stop people telling me the story.
Like I say, 90% of what people know about law is what people they look up to say about it.
People I look up to tell me stories of people being told not to fly them. I took it as a truth.
I really can't be bothered to look up instances of actual fact, as it was meant 'tongue-in-cheek' anyway.-

How true they all are relates exactly back to the reason I didn't vote... you can't believe anything printed in the paper, or on line, and only half you hear from the people who were there at the time.Personally it never stopped me from flying anything. Nothing was ever said to me personally to stop.
Brings me back to another point I made... How can we be law abiding citizens if we don't even know the laws we are breaking?
Without being a student of law, we simply can't, and have to rely on hearsay and [un]common sense.-

Up until 10 years ago I had the type of job that took me all over the country.
I met with this "stealing our jobs" type during an after work pint in one of the local pubs.
Unfortunately for him and his 2 mates, my area manager was staying overnight with us before heading off to another part of the country in the morning. The conversation went something like this, but I have to paraphrase in places to keep it clean. See if you can guess where...
Local: "How about you [deleted] Geordies [go] back to where you came from and work there? You're stealing our jobs!"
AM: "Actually, we'd be happy to employ locals. It would save us fortunes in overnight staying away from home. Do you have the ability to spray industrial grade paint?"
Local: "Erm Whats that?"
AM: "See the red steelwork in that building site? We go in and spray a coat of paint on that steel that is correct to a 10th of a millimetre. Can you do that?"
Local: "Erm, [no. not really]."
AM: "Would you like to learn? we're always looking for lads."
Local: "I wouldn't get out of bed for less than £10 an hour!"
AM: "Actually, that's basically what we pay the young lad there who's job it is to make sure the pump never runs out of paint... shall we see you on-site in the morning?"
Local: "[no], I'm not working for you northern [people]. [deleted]"
AM: "So, even though we are stealing a job you can't actually do, and offering you a job you won't actually take, we're somehow stealing the jobs in your area? Please tell me more!"
Suddenly these lads had another place to be in. Unsure where they went.In short, These people are more than willing to complain about people stealing work from them, but put them in a situation where they are getting the money they think they want, in exchange for their benefits and free time, they say "No" almost every time.
In my experience, the people who are pissed off about jobs being took, are the ones that don't want to work. The ones that do want to work are too busy looking for work to complain. (And are quiet enough to actually hear about opportunities...)
On a positive note though, One of the "coloured" gentlemen from the back of the bar overheard the conversation, and started work for us the next morning, while I trained the "Pot Laddie" up in Paint Spraying. With his limited english he was shown which numbers to look for on the side of the paint tins, and where to pour it.
I think that "Pot Laddie" I trained up actually owns his own spraying company now...-

Because we were told we couldn't in case it upset our EU visitors.
I asked the same thing on facebook. Is it OK to say we are English now? And fly our flag again without the risk of upsetting anyone?

A source today tells me the Funeral is earmarked for 1:30pm on Wednesday 29th June 2016. This is dependant on lots of factors so is regarded as a "Pencilled in" date and time.
If I hear anything further, I'll let you know.

Discussing these things over drinks is my idea of a terrible night out, but I do accept that, Like I, You have an opinion you are entitled to.
I also accept you can do whatever you like with that opinion. Even if I disagree.
We are all here to live our lives the way we please. Thank you for not only listening to my opinion, but also letting me know yours.

Upgraded again, The YZF was just a little too loud for me! (It attracted too much 'Plod attention!)

I really need to start thinking about more appropriate bikes, and get out of this mid-life crisis!

Just for clarity, I believe the above event was cancelled due to no involvement from the family.

I don't like the fact I can be put in jail for breaking a law I probably never heard of, or had any realistic way of knowing about. I'm certainly not studying law though.Therefore you have to have your own opinion, and get on with your life. You choose your own level of involvement, as you can't be everywhere and change everything.
Since everything I read or have been told (after I decide what I think is truth and lies) points towards it changing nothing for me or my family and friends, I choose not to vote.Again, because I don't understand what it is I'm deciding. and frankly, neither do 90% (Statistic needs verification) of the people out there with a pencil in their hand.

Its not only that, but I totally disagree with those types of calming measures.
Those who speed up those roads have no respect for their cars, and speed humps don't bother them in the slightest. Those daft slaloms are worse again... I could discuss it for days in its own separate thread.
Total waste of time, and as per usual, only actually inconvenience those who use the roads as intended.
