    Hi, I retired last year and Ollie (Yorkshire Terrier) and I now have time to fully explore the area I grew up in. I now live in Stakeford but lived in Bedlington, near the bank top, since I was around fifteen years old. I am interested in local history and am looking for more info on places I have previously only known by name. My first query is regarding the numbered marker posts in the Free Wood from Furnace Bank to Atlee Park. I am sure they mark areas of interest but I cannot find out any information about them, I am sure someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks and look forward to further participation Pedro
