    In most UK power stations there are four generators rated at between 500-660mw, how many wind generators do you think it will take to replace even one of these machines? There's a lot of green wind out there but they haven't done the sums. Nuclear and/or fossil fuel will be necessary for many years to come. http://www.bwea.com/edu/calcs.html

    I live in a council property, a very small one bedroomed bungalow with an ancient heating system. My heating costs are remarkably higher than the 2800 sq. ft. house I occupied in a much colder region in Canada. Am I to suffer extra costs on a property I do not own?

    The school, I believe stood on the site of what is now Binks(?) haulage, although there seem to be other operations within the buildings. Many of the 'posh' houses being built at Red Row are on the land previously occupied by Taits scrapyard. The others are on the site used by Thorntons, who have had workshops on both sides of the road.

    We look at others’ faults through a magnifying glass, but we turn the glass around when we look at our own! Church members are especially susceptible to this sin. We are very zealous for the traditions and good name of our church. I'll pass on that one father.

    You don't know the half of it Joe, according to the 'Council' Bedlington is now classified as a deprived area, litter and !*!@# are a major problem and also many complaints about rats. CK's uncaring and cynical attitutude is probably typical of the town now.
