Was the Hirst Head Farm Wade's ? If it was the ploughman in the picture could be a Wade , or one someone who worked for them Was the Hirst Head Farm Wade's ? If it was the ploughman in the picture could be a Wade , or one someone who worked for them My grandfather, John Carr-Swann, had Hirst Head Farm, before that it was Mr Swann who farmed it. Mr Swann had married John’s mother.

Miss Swann is in my family tree. My grandfather, John Carr-Swann, ran Hirst Head Farm in the 1930s. Any information would be gratefully read. Years ago, I visited when a lovely family with three boys had converted the farmhouse beautifully, I meant to stay in touch & wonder if they are still there. I have just joined this site so any contacts/info would be great.
