Hi Everyone!! Just a little message to say that the dun cow has new owners, angie and her daughter caroline. theres a party on sat nite and everyones welcome, it'll be a 1am finish and theres karaoke and buffet going to be on.

For those who are interested I will be there monday, tuesday, wednesday till about 8 if any of me long lost pals fancy a drink up there. we've been working loads to try and give it a spring clean and its looking fresh!!

Should be made into a rally driving school...

along with an outdoor go-karting center, trials bike and quad track.

oh, and would it be too unsafe to build a sports center??? :-P

think theres some condition to the land or something so Ive been told.............the land was donated to them so therefore they cannot build anything on it apart from what is already there...................something like that anyway

Try the really strong patches Pete... they worked for me and the young man... the ammount of nicotine in them makes you feel too sick to smoke for the first week and once the first week is over it's much easier! Keeping away from the pub has helped too, but it's not recommended!

Theres three of us at work that want to stop smoking so perhaps we can will each other on and complete the job, hope so anyway.

As for the patches I have a few friends that have tried the patches but failed, one of them stoped smoking cigaretes and started smoking cigars whilst using the patches, thinking that it would help, he now smokes more cigars than he did cigaretes

cold turkey, best way!! Im actually surprised at how easy it was to be honest, especially with working in the pub all the time.

this BarLassofBedlington likes to talk a lot of bol**cks coz the tavern has never been updated all thats been done is the poolboard has been moved across the room and tables put in its place it still stinks and my mate said he went for some food but wished he didnt coz he had the sh*ts all day it is a rotten place to be stay well clear!

If thats the way you feel then your obviously the kind of person that they dont want drinking in there. The tavern has been 'updated', we have new carpets, its been decorated and yes 'theres new tables and chairs'. Personally if people like you dont want to come in the place then who cares, we have great customers who have the upmost respect in the place and thats what we want.

We have a massive charity event happening on June 15th, 16th and 17th to raise money for cystic fibrosis. also easter sunday we are trying to raise money for the childrens hospital (one of the regulars Frankie Cram in charge of that one). Something else you might be interested in is we are having a 50's night next saturday as its one of the bar staffs birthdays and we have a 50's band playing. I really need some fashion advice from you about what I could wear. Ive got the hair band and necklace, both black just need some suggestions on where I can go for clothes

Yeah because its nobodys business how much the pub gets as an allowance for letting a-covert manage our car park. I truly do believe that the clamping is right as its a private property which is to be used by customers only.like i said in the first place the reason they started was because they couldn't get the draught lorry into car park because there was a woman parked in teh way of the cellar doors. She was asked to move and just smirked and said i can park where i want and walked away, now why should they put up with that kind of attitude from somebody when they were asked politely to move???

Its exactly the same as a stranger parking in your driveway and you ask them to move and they say tough im stayin here for as long as i like.

Obviously there is a little bit of give and take with clamping people but at the end of the day when your on private property its up to the companies discression as to how they deal with it.

I did the decent thing in the first place by warning you all in the first place and now everybody has a go at me because I was trying to be nice before anybody ended up not knowing and paying £125 for being clamped

I think its a great idea tpo have a video game shop. although you should be very careful about it as we dont have a very good passing trade at the minute, suppose you could give it a go.it may work out

Exactly - the site wont be decided untill its clear what facilities the new center will provide. Theres no point buying a plot then realising its too big / too small later on:

A: Undertake a survey within the community to ascertain the particular activities that are required to be provided for.

B: To scope out the scale of a facility based on the findings of the survey.

C: To review appropriate location options based on the outcome of B above.

So why dont we all get in touch with WDC and let them know what we would all like to see?

I do but at the minute I am only working 3 nights a week, have been passed my driving test 6 months and never drive since i passed, its bad crack thats why I need another job so i can be mobile

opening times are 12-12 monday to saturday and sundays 12-10.30.

we normally busy on a friday and saturday, we have bands on and they start between 9pm and 9.30pm and finish roughly about 11.30pm.

since jointing this site i get manic bouts of depression. the joys of this! think i will go get my car clamped!

who the hell do you think you are talking to me like that? I don't sling pints I serve them and I dont do it all day either, I work part time as Im at college doing my HNC. No I did not get bullied at school, you see Im a sociable lass and get on great with everybody apart from if they start mouthing off and being offensive.

The clamping is legal, everything about it.anyone who is illegally parked in a private car park will be clamped. at the end of the day it cannot be anymore simple than that. Like I said, someone parks on your drive who youve never met in your life, you wouldnt be happy. what if you asked them to move their car and they said no and walked away. Its exactly the same in these car parks. nobody has any right to park there without the owners permission!!!!
