  2. well done all! no trophy as the winner does not visit bedlington.co.uk
  3. How would i know! i'm voting Ukip!
  4. also Venus has an extremely dense atmosphere, which consists mainly of carbon dioxide and a small amount of nitrogen. The atmospheric mass is 93 times that of Earth's atmosphere while the pressure at the planet's surface is about 92 times that at Earth's surface—a pressure equivalent to that at a depth of nearly 1 kilometer under Earth's oceans. The density at the surface is 65 kg/m³ (6.5% that of water). The CO2-rich atmosphere, along with thick clouds of sulfur dioxide, generates the strongest greenhouse effect in the Solar System, creating surface temperatures of over 460 °C (860 °F). This makes Venus's surface hotter than Mercury's which has a minimum surface temperature of −220 °C and maximum surface temperature of 420 °C, even though Venus is nearly twice Mercury's distance from the Sun and thus receives only 25% of Mercury's solar irradiance.
  5. no leave it where it drops! theres one next door don't need another one! its is beening put to good use as an big open grassed area! why ruin every green space? there's other sites better placed for such things
  6. a cannit stop laughin! if fact: Of all the planets in the Solar System, Mars's seasons are the most Earth-like, due to the similar tilts of the two planets' rotational axes. However, the lengths of the Martian seasons are about twice those of Earth's, as Mars' greater distance from the Sun leads to the Martian year being about two Earth years long. Martian surface temperatures vary from lows of about -87 °C (-125 °F) during the polar winters to highs of up to 20 °C (68 °F) in summers. The wide range in temperatures is due to the thin atmosphere which cannot store much solar heat, the low atmospheric pressure, and the low thermal inertia of Martian soil. The planet is also 1.52 times as far from the sun as Earth, resulting in just 43 percent of the amount of sunlight. If Mars had an Earth-like orbit, its seasons would be similar to Earth's because its axial tilt is similar to Earth's. However, the comparatively large eccentricity of the Martian orbit has a significant effect. Mars is near perihelion when it is summer in the southern hemisphere and winter in the north, and near aphelion when it is winter in the southern hemisphere and summer in the north. As a result, the seasons in the southern hemisphere are more extreme and the seasons in the northern are milder than would otherwise be the case. The summer temperatures in the south can reach up to 30 °C (54 °F) warmer than the equivalent summer temperatures in the north. Mars also has the largest dust storms in our Solar System. These can vary from a storm over a small area, to gigantic storms that cover the entire planet. They tend to occur when Mars is closest to the Sun, and have been shown to increase the global temperature.
  7. wheres your phd? and i wasn't comparing the planets more the green house effect! as venus is locked in an irrevesable cycle of growing temps!
  8. sounds like council cuts!
  9. that many top scientists can't be wrong! ok maybe the evidence maybe not as solid but something is definitly happening wether it is man made who knows, but i say its better to do something now rather than sticking me heed in the sand and hoping it will go away! the green house effect is real look at venus it has a high co2 attmosphere that causes it to have temperatures that can melt lead! heres the evidence!
  10. these street fairs and concerts have sharp dried up! so was the market place make over was a waste of time?
  11. access will be off church lane where it is at present! near the bottle neck part! should be fun watching the "range rovers" get in and out of there!
  12. leave the twenty acres alone! hopefully this convenant will stand for another hundred years, otherwise we'll have no open fields left.
  13. Progress is Progress! You never know if they build enough flats with enough fat people in them mcdonalds might be lured in! thing is do people in "range rovers" eat mcdonalds? or do they just shop online at m&s
  14. funny that! wonder how funny the future generations find it?
  15. happy convict i mean austrailia day! a day when humanity celebrates prisoners!
  16. It'll never happen unless you build it yourself! As discussed in the fast food thread big business needs a high turnover to make it a viable prospect. I think the town first needs to start small and build interest from the floor up instead off living in a dream world thinking the likes of McDonalds and JJB would actually be interested! If the town could start by introducing the money idea and other incentives to start motivating people to start shopping in bedlington then businesses might actually want to set up shop in bedlington.
  17. heres the PDF
  18. France is the most important nuclear energy producer in EU. Nuclear energy, used for electricity generation, accounts for over 40% of France's primary energy supply. France exhibits an energy import dependency close to average EU levels, with the majority of imports being oil which is the second most important source of energy. The share of gas, also imported, has been steadily increasing in recent years. Renewable sources, biomass and hydro, participate to a significant extent in the energy and electricity mix. Transport is the sector that consumes the largest share of final energy. Energy demand has been growing steadily. Given its strong commitment to nuclear energy, France remains one of the EU countries with the lowest CO2 per capita emissions.
  19. its not my fault you have no sense of humour! and divint start on me theres plenty off other people who put the town down as well as me!
  20. who would that be? Alan "Howlin Laud" Hope !
