Hugh, is great!

He makes cake with beetroot! Tonight he made some courgettes on toast and jam and foraged in the sea! And a couple of years back he championed chickens to the point where Mr Vic went vegetarian. Our raised beds are tribute River Cottage... though nowhere near as good.

He's one cool dude. And he's trying to get folk into gardening... in an excellent way... by sharing land... getting folk with land to lend it to folk without, and folk without to lend it from them... some folk are just happy to help out outdoors for some free scran! Looking at the Landshare Website it seems that there's a few people round here wanting to get involved.

Just thought I'd stick it on here in case Guardian reading idealist lefties fancy it?

Keep on digging

I think digging is great. I have a machine to do it for me. It's cool and uses petrol. Mint! My potatoes are simply the best, so there. And the raspberries, too.

Any would-be gardeners who wish to experience the white-knuckle excitement of cutting my overgrown lawns would be very welcome.
