They had a pop factory, which isn't about now, but of which I have a couple of labels from the 50s bottles... From a conversation I had in there one day, I think someone from Keenleysides may be related...

The Muters had the farm at Sleekburn, across the road from The Havelock pub. They had stables and ran a horse riding school for years.

There are two muter families in the area I am aware of and as far as I know they are not related.

Joan Muter currently runs Keenleysides at Bedlington Station.

I'm also tracing our family tree. I can see on this forum that someone posted a comment about Ada Scott (nee Muter) who had a Daughter called Elizabeth who I note had sadly passed away.

Elizabeth had a Brother called Victor who is my Father In Law - Victor died when my Husband was 3 months old and sadly we know little about this side of the family.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
