Would you like to tell us WHERE it's proposed it should be banned from? Then the poll might have some meaning.

You're surely not advocating that in our free country (allegedly devoid of chanting mindless idiots) people should not be permitted to wear dress of their choice? Safety, decency, security and identity considerations aside, of course.

Anyway, good job MV isn't still in charge; else this one would be closed quicker than a council school with 5mm of snow! biggrin.gif

Thing about the frogs Monsta is that they have secularism enshrined in their constitution.

so they've at least got a bit of back bone and have some sort of national pride unlike the uk where foreigners can come and do as they please, they dont even have to learn the language! and is calling the french "frogs" any less racist than calling muslims? or calling me a whitey!

We have a long historical understanding with the French. We call them frogs and buy their cars - and they call us ros-bifs and buy our... well, there must be something that they buy!

The part you can't talk about is that we are contracted to rescue them whenever their teutonic friends overstay their welcome. In return they save us from our irrational fears: like not having bountiful ultra-clean nuclear energy and glow-in-the-dark sheep.

Actually GGG just read the French are now net importers of energy not exporters! So maybe not the shining (no pun intended) example of popular nuclear usage as once heralded!

France is the most important nuclear energy producer in EU. Nuclear energy, used for electricity generation, accounts

for over 40% of France's primary energy supply. France exhibits an energy import dependency close to average EU

levels, with the majority of imports being oil which is the second most important source of energy. The share of gas,

also imported, has been steadily increasing in recent years. Renewable sources, biomass and hydro, participate to a

significant extent in the energy and electricity mix. Transport is the sector that consumes the largest share of final

energy. Energy demand has been growing steadily. Given its strong commitment to nuclear energy, France remains

one of the EU countries with the lowest CO2 per capita emissions.

Almost certainly to a 'man' nationalistic to a point of arrogance! If you can't speak French don't try and live there they don't do forms in English never mind Urdu or even Vietnamese.......unlike our own dear homeland where you almost have to ask for an official form in English. They also have something we don't have and that is a constitution which gives every citizen inalienable rights.

As for the racism point I think it is more down to how the term is used rather than its spelling.
