I wonder how they're doing it, then, because a friend of mine in Cheshire has been ripped off of upwards of £100, although not the £315 mentioned.
Andy Brown Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Interesting. I wonder how they're doing it, then, because a friend of mine in Cheshire has been ripped off of upwards of £100, although not the £315 mentioned.it may be that they deliberately keep the caller on the line, there are similar scams going round claiming you are charged £50 per minute for the same sort of thing even though the caller calls a 090xx number, all I would say is beware. Also the iGlobal lot are calling again, claiming that your computer is producing virus reports, despite them not being able to provide one shred of proof, and they will ask for the owner of the telephone line and then start their garbage script.

The other guy I can't get hold of for info. iGlobal, or someone of that ilk, call me regularly. I tell them politely not to bother.
Malcolm Robinson Posted December 9, 2010 Author Report Posted December 9, 2010 I was sent this off a mate in Derbyshire whose neighbour had just been ripped off……so something very like this is doing the rounds. Clear message anyway, just let's all be very careful when dealing with unsolicited mail or phone calls!
Monsta® Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 funny how these scams always come from third world countries! such as belize, somalia and nigeria
